Extended Essays are in! Seniors completed a major milestone in the Diploma Programme with their submission of their extended essays, research papers of up to 4,000 words (about 14 pages) on topics ranging from the election of justices to the NC State Supreme Court to Type II Supernovae to the impact of the Belgian occupation of the Congo. Now it is on to the Viva Voces!

Starting April 27th our juniors and seniors will be busy with their IB exams in subjects across the curriculum. All exams include two sessions over two days, a morning and an afternoon session. Morning sessions start at either 8am or 9am. Afternoon sessions start at either 12pm or 1pm. Testing session lengths vary depending on the exam. Specific times for exams will be set closer to the actual exam times. See the calendar below for test dates.

IBO Research: DP Alumni believe CAS experience endures
Researchers at the University of Bath investigated the impact of CAS through the perceptions of those involved in the programme, past and present.The findings? "CAS contributes to changes in DP students in terms of their personal dispositions, behaviour, and interpersonal relationships... In particular, coordinators, students and alumni believed that CAS helps students to become better at “taking on new challenges,” “learning to persevere” and “developing better interpersonal skills.” Read more HERE!
